Each was built on a different idea of what people want from a model., a serverless GraphQL framework for AWS, a 3D asset pipeline for Lowe's, a data pipeline for Coinstar, and interactive research mapsOpen Zone Map, for the Adrianople Group. Every special economic zone in the world on one map. It was later picked up by the World Economic Forum's TradeTech initiative. for a think tank.

1. Jan 2023 – now

   Independent consulting for clients who need something shipped.

   • International: Supporting the rollout of Fleetrite, a federated ecommerce platform for aftermarket truck parts.
   • Guitar Center: Architected a Node.js platform for ~50,000 lessons subscriptions, unifying fragmented POS, e-commerce, and lessons data into a reliable system of record. Enabled accurate sales attribution, legally required one-click cancellations, and student self-service during a major growth initiative.
   • Capital Group: Rebuilt an internal ChatGPT-style research assistant from a React prototype in Vue, adding source transparency and feedback features to build analyst trust and speed the model training cycle. Supported beta adoption by ~25 analysts and a path to hundreds.
   • Adrianople Group: Designed a high-performance interactive research map framework in 6 weeks and delivered three maps, including Open Zone Map, later acquired by a major NGO.
   • Institute for Legislative Analysis: Built a white-label legislative vote scoring platform processing ~500,000 votes a year, from zero to production in under 3 months, so 9 partner organizations could publish their own scorecards.
   • Kunai: Led a small team to rescue a stalled Sanity/Gatsby/React marketing site, shipping 13+ page frameworks and 25+ reusable components on schedule.
   • West Coast NFT: Built a consumer-ready NFT onboarding and creation experience in 2 months, enabling real-world validation before a decisive pivot.
   • AWS Professional Services: Designed security-first auth primitives for a federated GraphQL platform, delivering core scaffolding for Woot's monolith-to-microservices migration in 3 months.

   AI marketing platform.

   • Designed and built a platform-scale workflow engine and UI for continuously improving, user-in-the-loop and headless agentic workflows, aimed at automating users' core and custom marketing processes.
   • Redesigned the core content generation workflow around parallelized, specialized agents, with a track-changes feature so users can engage in the edit flow and generate training data.
   • Analyzed customer usage to inform platform improvements, roadmap, and product strategy.

   • Led design and development of Checkouts 2.0, a fast checkout experience built with Next.js, GraphQL, and Node.js.
   • Built the next-generation admin interface for SamCart sellers, across Next.js, GraphQL, Node.js, Golang, and PHP.
   • Ran cross-team workshops on the practice of software development at the individual and team level.

   • Led a team of five building a 3D asset scanning pipeline tool for a key initiative to produce high-resolution 3D models for Lowes.com and the Lowe's app.
   • Designed and deployed a single Node.js backend integrating a suite of 3D design apps so models and scenes could be progressively enhanced through the workflow.
   • Prototyped a connected-home data platform for homeowners, Lowe's Pros, brands, and market analysts.
   • Integrated Lowe's ForgeRock auth, improving in-store login for store associates.
5. Aug 2018 – May 2020

   Software Development Engineer III · LivePerson

   Conversational AI platform.

   • Architected an AI and automation platform with a user-feedback pipeline, human-in-the-loop scoring, and multi-vendor bot integration with blended ranking.
   • Drove the CEO's self-service vision by leading an API standardization program and shipping the company's first zero-touch trial-to-paid onboarding.
   • Introduced the Data Science team to the ELK stack; an initial feature design became its own product, Zeitgeist.
   • Shipped a Context Service (React, Node.js, Couchbase, Kubernetes) fueling the AI engine behind Maven.
   • Traveled to the Israel offices for knowledge transfer and drove technical planning for modernizing a critical legacy service.
   • Coordinated the Seattle office hackathon and won "most developer-centric"; recruited and hired the first round of developers for most new Seattle teams.
